10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern Planet Motors Inc.’s voluntary 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee for eligible cash purchases.

2. Voluntary Dealer Policy Only

The 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee is offered solely as a voluntary dealer policy by Planet Motors Inc.

This policy does not create an automatic right to cancel a purchase agreement. Any return request must be reviewed, inspected, and approved in writing by Planet Motors Inc. before any refund, exchange, cancellation, or reversal is processed.

Planet Motors Inc. reserves the right to refuse any return request that does not fully comply with these Terms & Conditions.

3. Effective Date and Eligibility Date

This policy is effective as of May 2, 2026.

This policy applies only to eligible vehicle purchases where the purchase agreement is signed on or after May 2, 2026, the vehicle is purchased from Planet Motors Inc., the customer receives written disclosure before signing, the vehicle and transaction meet all eligibility requirements, and the customer complies with all written terms, conditions, exclusions, and return requirements.

This policy does not apply to purchases, contracts, deposits, reservations, deliveries, finance approvals, lease agreements, or transactions completed before May 2, 2026.

4. Eligible Purchase Types

This 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee applies only to eligible retail vehicles purchased using cleared funds, including cash, certified cheque, bank draft, debit, wire transfer, e-transfer, or other cleared funds accepted by Planet Motors Inc.

The purchase funds must be fully cleared, final, and received by Planet Motors Inc. before the guarantee may be considered active.

5. Financed, Leased, and Lender-Funded Vehicles Are Excluded

This guarantee does not apply to any vehicle that is financed, leased, conditionally financed, pending finance approval, lender-funded, assigned to a third-party lender, subject to lien registration through a lender, purchased under dealership-arranged financing, purchased under a third-party credit agreement, purchased through a subvented finance program, or purchased with any bank, lender, credit union, private lender, lease company, or financing institution involvement.

The customer acknowledges that financed and leased transactions involve third-party contractual obligations, lender funding, lien registration, credit reporting, payout obligations, lender approvals, and other legal and administrative processes outside the scope of this voluntary guarantee.

6. Excluded Vehicles and Transactions

The 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply to vehicles sold as-is, wholesale vehicles, auction vehicles, consignment vehicles unless expressly approved in writing, commercial-use vehicles, fleet-use vehicles, taxi, limousine, rideshare, delivery, courier, or rental-use purchases, export purchases, vehicles purchased by another dealer, broker, exporter, reseller, or business buyer, vehicles with trade-ins involving lien payouts, negative equity, or unresolved ownership issues, vehicles sold under final-sale or special-disclosure terms, vehicles modified or damaged after delivery, vehicles used for racing, towing outside manufacturer limits, off-road use, abusive driving, or unauthorized commercial use, or vehicles where the customer has transferred, assigned, pledged, encumbered, exported, listed for resale, or attempted to resell the vehicle after delivery.

Planet Motors Inc. may also exclude any vehicle from the guarantee if the exclusion is disclosed in writing before the customer signs the purchase agreement.

7. 10-Day Return Request Requirement

To request a return under this policy, the customer must notify Planet Motors Inc. in writing within 10 calendar days of the vehicle delivery date.

The vehicle must also be physically returned to Planet Motors Inc. within the same 10-calendar-day period during regular business hours, unless Planet Motors Inc. agrees otherwise in writing.

The 10-day period begins on the date the customer takes delivery of the vehicle, not the date the vehicle is first driven, plated, registered, insured, or used. Late return requests are not eligible under this policy.

8. Kilometre Limit

The vehicle must not be driven more than 250 kilometres from the odometer reading recorded at the time of delivery.

If the vehicle exceeds the 250 km limit, the guarantee is automatically void, and Planet Motors Inc. has no obligation to accept the vehicle for return, refund, cancellation, or exchange under this policy.

The delivery odometer reading must be recorded on the Bill of Sale, delivery checklist, or customer acknowledgment form.

9. Same-Condition Return Requirement

The vehicle must be returned in substantially the same condition as delivered, subject only to ordinary short-term use within the permitted kilometre limit.

The guarantee is void if the vehicle exhibits accident damage, collision damage, body damage, paint damage, windshield damage, glass damage, tire damage, rim damage, interior damage, upholstery damage, electrical or mechanical issues caused after delivery, warning lights not present at delivery, missing keys, fobs, ownership documents, manuals, accessories, charging cables, tires, wheels, or equipment included in the sale, aftermarket modifications, ECU tuning, deleted emissions equipment, tampering, or evidence of racing, drifting, towing abuse, off-road use, rideshare use, delivery use, rental use, commercial use, or abusive operation.

The vehicle must not be returned in a condition requiring reconditioning beyond a standard 90-minute professional detail. Any reconditioning required beyond that standard, including odour remediation, tobacco or cannabis odour removal, biohazard cleaning, deep stain removal, pet-hair removal, excessive soil removal, or interior restoration, shall be documented by Planet Motors Inc. with dated photo evidence and an itemized reconditioning invoice. Actual reconditioning costs shall be deducted from any approved refund.

10. Inspection Before Approval

All return requests are subject to inspection and written approval by Planet Motors Inc.

Planet Motors Inc. may inspect exterior condition, interior condition, mechanical condition, electrical systems, odometer reading, diagnostic codes, tire and wheel condition, windshield and glass condition, vehicle history status, lien status, ownership status, registration status, insurance claim status, accident history after delivery, missing items or accessories, and evidence of misuse, abuse, tampering, or commercial use.

Planet Motors Inc. may require a third-party inspection, diagnostic scan, body shop estimate, detailing estimate, mechanical estimate, lien search, vehicle history search, or other reasonable verification before approving or rejecting a return.

11. Return Processing and Liquidated Damages Fee

Any return approved by Planet Motors Inc. under this voluntary 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee shall be subject to a return processing and liquidated damages fee equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the base vehicle purchase price, subject to a minimum fee of $795.00 and a maximum fee of $5,000.00, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Planet Motors Inc. does not automatically keep $5,000. The applicable fee is calculated as 15% of the base vehicle purchase price, with a minimum of $795.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00, and may be deducted from any approved refund, exchange credit, or amount otherwise payable to the customer in connection with an approved return.

The base vehicle purchase price means the negotiated selling price of the motor vehicle itself before HST, licensing, registration, OMVIC fee, warranty products, protection products, insurance products, accessories, and optional add-ons.

This fee is not calculated on HST, taxes, licensing fees, registration fees, OMVIC fee, delivery charges, transportation charges, finance charges, lender fees, warranty products, protection products, insurance products, accessories, optional add-ons, or third-party products or services.

This fee is intended to compensate Planet Motors Inc. for reasonable and foreseeable losses, costs, and damages associated with accepting a returned vehicle, including administrative processing, advertising costs, lost sales opportunity, vehicle depreciation, market value reduction, reconditioning, detailing, safety inspection costs, vehicle history impact, inventory carrying costs, staff time, documentation reversal, registration reversal, ownership processing, accounting work, compliance work, and other reasonable expenses incurred because of the return.

The customer acknowledges and agrees that the return processing and liquidated damages fee represents a genuine pre-estimate of Planet Motors Inc.’s anticipated losses and is not intended to operate as a penalty, punishment, forfeiture, or windfall.

Nothing in this section limits Planet Motors Inc.’s right to deduct additional documented costs, charges, losses, or third-party expenses permitted under these Terms. This fee applies only to returns voluntarily approved under this 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee and does not limit, reduce, waive, or replace any non-waivable statutory right or remedy that may apply under Ontario law.

12. Warranty, Protection, Insurance, Accessories, and Add-On Products

Warranty products, protection products, insurance products, accessories, and optional add-ons are separate products and services from the motor vehicle purchase.

These items are not refundable by Planet Motors Inc. under this 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee unless Planet Motors Inc. expressly agrees otherwise in writing or unless the applicable third-party provider confirms a refund is available under that provider’s own cancellation terms.

Third-party warranties, protection products, insurance products, and accessories may be subject to separate contracts, separate cancellation rights, administration fees, pro-rated refunds, non-refundable charges, or complete non-refundability. Planet Motors Inc. does not control the cancellation, refund, or administration terms of third-party warranty providers, protection product providers, insurance carriers, or accessory suppliers.

The customer is responsible for contacting the applicable provider directly to request any available cancellation or refund. Planet Motors Inc. may provide applicable provider contact information upon written request.

13. Additional Charges, Fees, Costs, and Deductions Payable by Customer

In addition to the return processing and liquidated damages fee, the customer is responsible for all applicable costs, charges, losses, expenses, or deductions arising from or related to the return, including excess mileage if Planet Motors Inc. chooses to approve a return despite excess mileage, damage repair, mechanical repair, electrical repair, body repair, paint repair, windshield or glass replacement, tire replacement, rim or wheel replacement, cleaning, detailing beyond a standard 90-minute professional detail, odour removal, tobacco or cannabis odour remediation, pet hair removal, biohazard cleaning, deep stain removal, replacement of missing keys, fobs, accessories, tires, wheels, charging cables, manuals, documents, or included equipment, safety certification costs, diagnostic costs, third-party inspection costs, transportation costs, towing costs, storage charges, registration reversal costs, ownership transfer or reversal costs, lien discharge costs, PPSA search or discharge costs, bank fees, NSF fees, stop-payment fees, chargeback fees, fraud review costs, tickets, fines, highway tolls, 407 ETR charges, parking charges, red-light camera charges, speed-camera charges, impound fees, insurance claim-related costs, and any other third-party cost connected to the customer’s possession, operation, storage, registration, or use of the vehicle.

Planet Motors Inc. may deduct these amounts from any approved refund, exchange credit, or amount otherwise payable to the customer. Where possible, deductions shall be supported by invoices, estimates, photographs, repair orders, inspection records, lien records, toll records, ticket records, or other reasonable documentation.

14. Refund Calculation

Approved Refund = amount paid toward the base vehicle purchase price, minus the applicable return processing and liquidated damages fee, minus documented damage, reconditioning, missing item, excess mileage, administrative, third-party, lien, registration, toll, ticket, chargeback, or other permitted deductions, minus any non-refundable third-party products or services.

Planet Motors Inc. is not required to issue any refund until all deductions have been calculated, the vehicle has passed inspection, title and lien status have been verified, and all funds paid by the customer have fully cleared and are not subject to stop payment, reversal, fraud review, dispute, or chargeback.

15. Refund Conditions

No refund will be issued until Planet Motors Inc. has approved the return in writing, the vehicle has been physically returned, the vehicle has passed inspection, all keys, fobs, accessories, tires, manuals, documents, and included items have been returned, the vehicle is confirmed free of liens, claims, charges, encumbrances, fines, tickets, tolls, storage fees, insurance claims, and third-party interests, the original purchase funds have fully cleared and are not subject to reversal, stop payment, chargeback, fraud review, or dispute, and Planet Motors Inc. has calculated all applicable deductions.

Any approved refund will be issued only to the original purchaser using a method determined by Planet Motors Inc. Refund timing may vary depending on banking timelines, administrative processing, ownership reversal, registration status, lien status, third-party verification, and other operational requirements.

16. Exchanges

Planet Motors Inc. may, at its sole discretion, allow the customer to exchange the vehicle for another eligible vehicle instead of receiving a refund.

Any approved exchange remains subject to the return processing and liquidated damages fee, inspection approval, same-condition requirements, kilometre limit, price difference between vehicles, tax adjustments, licensing adjustments, documentation fees, any applicable third-party costs, and all other written terms of this policy. Planet Motors Inc. is not required to offer an exchange vehicle.

17. No Return for Buyer’s Remorse Unless Approved Under This Policy

Buyer’s remorse, change of mind, change in personal finances, insurance cost concerns, parking issues, family disagreement, preference change, finding another vehicle elsewhere, or deciding the vehicle no longer suits the customer’s needs does not create an automatic right to cancel the purchase.

Any return based on satisfaction, preference, or change of mind is available only if Planet Motors Inc. approves the return under this written 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.

18. Deposits, Reservations, and Holds

This 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee does not alter or replace any separate deposit, reservation, or vehicle hold policy.

Any refundable or non-refundable deposit terms are governed by the written deposit agreement, reservation terms, Bill of Sale, or other written agreement between the customer and Planet Motors Inc. A deposit, reservation, or vehicle hold does not automatically make a vehicle eligible for the 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.

19. No Waiver of Statutory Rights

Nothing in this document limits, excludes, or waives any legal rights that cannot be waived under applicable Ontario law.

Nothing in this document limits any cancellation rights that may exist if required vehicle disclosures were not properly made, if a material fact was not disclosed, or if any other statutory cancellation right applies. This policy is separate from any rights or remedies that may exist under applicable law.

20. Website, Advertising, and Marketing Disclaimer

Any website banner, advertisement, social media post, vehicle listing, email, SMS message, chat message, salesperson statement, or promotional statement referring to the 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee is subject to these full Terms & Conditions.

A short-form statement such as “10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee” or similar wording does not override, replace, expand, or modify the written terms of this policy. No statement such as “money back,” “return,” “guarantee,” or “satisfaction guarantee” shall be interpreted as creating an unconditional return right, statutory cooling-off period, or automatic cancellation right.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the full Terms & Conditions before signing any purchase agreement.

21. Entire Guarantee Terms

This document contains the complete terms of Planet Motors Inc.’s 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.

No salesperson, manager, employee, agent, advertisement, website statement, text message, email, verbal statement, chat message, or other communication may modify, expand, waive, or override these terms unless the change is made in writing and signed by an authorized officer or manager of Planet Motors Inc.

22. Amendments and Version Control

Planet Motors Inc. reserves the right to amend, update, replace, suspend, or discontinue this policy at any time. The version of the policy in effect at the time the customer signs the eligible purchase agreement shall govern that transaction.

23. Privacy, Records, and Digital Storage

The customer acknowledges that Planet Motors Inc. may store signed acknowledgments, delivery records, odometer confirmations, inspection records, photographs, invoices, reconditioning records, refund calculations, and related documents in physical and/or digital form for audit, regulatory, dispute-resolution, legal, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.

Planet Motors Inc. will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and applicable Ontario privacy requirements.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

The invalid provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if not possible, severed from these Terms while preserving the remainder.

25. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any disputes arising from or relating to this policy shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, subject to any non-waivable rights or procedures available under applicable law.

Customer Acknowledgment

I, the undersigned customer, acknowledge and agree that:

  1. I have read and understood the Planet Motors 10-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Terms & Conditions before signing the purchase agreement.
  2. I understand this is a voluntary dealer policy only.
  3. I understand this is not a statutory cooling-off period.
  4. I understand this is not an unconditional return policy.
  5. I understand this guarantee applies only to eligible cash purchases.
  6. I understand financed, leased, conditionally financed, lender-funded, and lien-related transactions are excluded.
  7. I understand any approved return is subject to a return processing and liquidated damages fee equal to 15% of the base vehicle purchase price, subject to a minimum of $795.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00.
  8. I understand the fee is calculated on the base vehicle purchase price only and does not include taxes, licensing, registration, OMVIC fee, warranty products, protection products, insurance products, accessories, or optional add-ons.
  9. I understand this fee is not a penalty and is intended as a genuine pre-estimate of Planet Motors Inc.’s anticipated losses, costs, and damages arising from an approved voluntary return.
  10. I understand the vehicle must be returned within 10 calendar days of delivery.
  11. I understand the vehicle must not exceed 250 km from the delivery odometer reading.
  12. I understand the vehicle must be returned in substantially the same condition as delivered.
  13. I understand Planet Motors Inc. may inspect the vehicle before approving or refusing a return.
  14. I understand additional deductions may apply for damage, missing items, excessive use, cleaning, reconditioning, odour remediation, pet hair removal, biohazard cleaning, registration reversal, lien discharge, third-party charges, tickets, tolls, fines, chargebacks, or other related costs.
  15. I understand this policy applies only to eligible purchases signed on or after May 2, 2026.
  16. I understand nothing in this policy removes any rights or obligations that may apply under Ontario law.
  17. I understand that warranty products, protection products, insurance products, accessories, and optional add-ons sold with the vehicle are not refundable by Planet Motors Inc. under this policy and are governed by the cancellation and refund terms of the applicable third-party provider.
  18. I understand that Planet Motors Inc. does not control third-party provider refund terms and is not responsible for issuing refunds for those items unless expressly agreed in writing or required by applicable law.
  19. I consent to Planet Motors Inc. storing this signed acknowledgment in digital and printed form for audit, regulatory, dispute-resolution, legal, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
